Body treatments are a special type of skin treatment that focuses on treating the skin on different areas of your body much like you would treat your face. These treatments are often done on the back called a "back facial" or in the intimate areas following a waxing service often called a "vajacial." While these are the most common types you'll find on service menus of estheticians, you may also see full body treatments listed as body wraps or mud wraps; body wraps typically treat the whole body including arms legs and back to an exfoliation and light massage for uber relaxation.
Body treatments will vary somewhat depending on what area you are working on and they have a huge range of what you'll be receiving from the treatment depending on where you get it. In general here are some things you can expect to happen while you're getting any type of body treatment at Stay Ready Skin, we dont skimp on the treatments and will use the same high quality potent products that we use to treat your face on your body.
We'll describe a back treatment here since they're the most common but each body area will be set up slightly differently but all are designed with relaxation and your comfort in mind and follow a similar treatment structure.
When you first arrive you'll be brought back to the treatment room which will have low lighting, sound machines and aromatherapy going to start the mood off. You're always welcome to request your own music as well, we dont have to listen to spa music. After a quick chat with your esthetician and going over your health history forms that you filled out before your appointment your esthetician will step out of the room and ask you to disrobe to your comfort level and put on a spa robe which is similar to a towel that you can velcro around your body to keep you covered but cozy. Then you'll step up onto the treatment table and lay face down with your head in the face cradle and under clean blankets.
As the treatment gets started there will be a skin analysis where we take a look at the area being treated under magnification and bright light to truly get a sense of your skin type, any skin conditions, and what targeted treatments may be helpful for your treatment. Then we will move to a double cleanse and an exfoliating mask that is designed to help remove excess skin cell and oil buildup that can cause clogged pores and body acne. Once the exfoliation is done next step is any extractions and are only done if it is needed.
After exfoliation and extraction phase of the treatment is finished your esthetician will perform any targeted treatments such as LED light therapy or High Frequency along with relaxing massage that helps oxygenate the skin and drive deper relaxation. It is SO common (and such a compliment) to have a client fall asleep on the treatment table so dont be afraid to take a little snooze during this part!
Once the massage portion is wrapped up we will work powerful serums that improve hydration or overall skin health and do any spot treatments necessary for your skin concerns. You'll then have a luxurious moisturizer and sunscreen applied using massage techniques before wrapping up the body treatment.
When the treatment is finished, the esthetician will re-velcro your spa robe around you and step out to let you relax for a moment before getting up and getting dressed. After you're dressed and refreshed we will get you checked out, discuss any after care and your questions then check you out to go about your day! Afterwards you'll receive a text that explains any aftercare or product recommendations specifically tailored to you and the treatment you received.

Facials are a paid service you can get to help you handle specific skin concerns and maintain your overall skin health. Facials are performed by Licensed Estheticians who are trained in skincare ingredients, skin health, and how to identify and treat a number of skin conditions including acne, perioral dermatitis, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, and more. Facials are really beneficial for anyone but especially if you are going through any kind of life transtition such as moving states, starting a new stage of life, trying to heal your acne, or address new skin concerns as we age.
While facials are not one size fits all (nor would you want them to be) at Stay Ready Skin in Denver, CO here is what you can expect from a signature facial experience; It’s best to arrive a few minutes before your appointment, 5-10 is recommended so you can park and come in, if we’re ready to take you back early we totally will! When you come in for the first time you can stop at the front desk and be greeted by our salon concierge who can help guide you back to the suite or to a waiting area. When it’s time for your appointment you’ll meet with Kira, she will go over your pre-appointment forms that cover health and safety information, ask a couple questions and then give you a couple minutes to change into a clean spa robe and get under the covers of the treatment table.
As the treatment begins you will have any makeup or sunscreen removed, get a thorough cleanse and then you will have eye protection placed over your eyes to protect them as Kira takes a closer look at your skin through magnification. During this skin analysis we will go over skin type, any conditions we are seeing, what your goals are for your skin, any products you're currently using, and will ask tons of questions about your skin. She will then use all of that information to guide the rest of the treatment. From there your skin will get exfoliated as appropriate, gentle extractions will be performed only if needed and then targeted treatments such as LED therapy, Collagen boosting masks, hydration or healing masks, High Frequency, facial lymphatic massage, spot treatments may also be performed. After your targeted treatments you will get a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type and to finish off with a sunscreen.
After the service is done you’ll be asked to get up slowly and your provider will step out as you get dressed. Once you’re ready we will step back in, discuss any home care recommendations, purchase any products, check out, and schedule your next treatment.
It is best to stay regular with your skin treatments and follow home care instructions to get the most out of your facials so we always recommend booking your appointments at least a month or two out. Ask us about package discounts as well!
